Biography

Stacey Sang is a Jazz-based singer who recombines natural talent, professional skill, and intelligence into a powerful and diverse sound.  Educated at Humber College for Jazz Performance, she was mentored by world-class musicians like Shannon Gunn, Pat Labarbara, Keiran Overs, Trish Colter and many more, and won the Thomas Kohoe Vocal Jazz Award.  Over the last several years in Seoul, Stacey has translated her skills into impressive professional achievements.

As a member of the vocal jazz group Hi-Singers, she has collaborated on singles, albums, and live club performances.  As a member of the fusion group Fahrenheit, she has recorded two mini-albums.  As a vocal coach for the Korean indie label 9th Street Records, she has nurtured talent and directed recordings.  Through all those professional engagements, she has also pursued an independent voice as a singer-songwriter, culminating in a wide range of creations: "Isacc", the theme song for a children's television show, "Pickle Warrior", an original jazz composition, and "Like a Star", a folk-inspired ballad.  Those compositions - and several more authored by Stacey Sang - benefited from Stacey's unique cultural background, as someone with perfect bilingualism and extensive life experience in South Korea, Canada, and the United States.

Now based in Los Angeles, Stacey Sang is ready to ply her trade in diverse genres and fields, bringing with her experience as an educator, director, producer, mixer, composer, and performer.
